While his exquisite poster for Buffalo ’66 didn’t quite capture the essence of the film in its image (something which did not take away from its beauty), one can’t exactly say that about Gabz‘ poster for David Lynch’s mind bending tale Mulholland Drive. Capturing the fracture between the worlds of Betty/Diane so well, Gabz has created a masterwork that tells the story of the film in one image. That’s art. That’s talent. That’s one badass poster.
This movie is less of a mindfuck than most of Lynch‘s work and might be his most accessible film outside of The Straight Story. This was certainly Naomi Watts‘s coming out party as her performance is simply incredible. Give it whirl, if you fancy.
