Not sure that The Godfather needs any introduction. The best gangster film of all-time, and some say the best film ever. I would argue with that, but it’s hard to deny the saga of the Corleone Family is anything less than riveting. Designer Jeferson Barbosa has really captured the impending doom mafiosi must feel at all times using the scene where Don Vito is gunned down by Barzini hitmen. Incredibly representative of the film, this is why poster art is such a cool science (if it can be called that).
If you haven’t seen this film, where the hell have you been since 1972? It is a landmark of American culture. Get there.
